During Phase I, the Stakeholder Team is called the “Executive Committee on the Occoquan Sewershed” or ECOS.

The stakeholder team will:

• Enhance understanding of the Occoquan Reservoir and its tributaries as a complex socio-ecological system, particularly regarding freshwater salinization
• Assess potential options to address freshwater salinization, consistent with technical, policy/political, economic and other issues and opportunities
• Advance a convergent, collaborative approach to addressing freshwater salinization while respecting the diverse range of interests and perspectives represented on the ECOS
